Web Designer
Position Summary:
In this fast-paced role, you will create, design, and maintain dynamic marketing collateral and support the overall sales and marketing initiatives for our clients brands and websites. We are primarily remote. As we grow, we will most likely be moving into a central location between Delafield and Milwaukee.
Top contenders for this position will have a strong grasp of composition and layout with the ability to take creative direction and run with it. A successful candidate can become intimately familiar with the design aesthetic for multiple clients while working within brand standards.

Description
Website Management & Updating in Drag/Drop Builder – 50% - No coding required
- Creates, edits, designs, and produces websites based on our structure for our recurring automotive detailing clients. Works hand in hand with SEO team, graphics team to create, update, and manage visually stunning websites.
- No code design experience is necessary.
- Responsible for website launching on daily basis
- HTML/WordPress experience is a plus, but is not needed. Our website structure creation is based on appearance and style combined with our SEO writing abilities. Our system makes proper adjustments and lets designers be creative.
- Ability to follow proper SEO techniques and be trained on additional methods to get websites into a proper ranking foundation.
- Collaborates with marketing and communications team with ideas for creative strategies, web design/layout, to support marketing campaigns and storytelling of 8bitcreative initiatives.
Website Development of New Projects – 40%
- Create and run operational flow of new styles, templates, and designs that we will integrate into our running group website partner customers.
- Ability to concept and create designs based on goals and strategies set forth
- Work with the project management and art director regularly.
- Work simultaneously on projects of widely varying design requirements.
- Knowledgeable in file output and preparation for the web.

Current tech stack we use:
- Shopify
- Duda (we will train the right person). Most people do not have Duda specific experience. It is similar to squarespace/wix/godaddy website builders with a lot of added functionality for google schema, SEO and more customization.
- Zapier
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience building and launching websites using Shopify, WordPress, and Duda
- Experience with basic principles of website launch such as domain settings
- Experience with responsive design and optimization for speed and performance
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of SEO principles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development or related field is a plus
