In this article, we'll cover how to set up and install a Meta Pixel on your website. Note: Please follow these instructions, as we need the script not the ID!
If you already created a Meta Pixel and want to find your pixel base code, skip to step 14. Follow the instructions to Manually add the pixel code to website.
1. Visit https://business.facebook.com
2. On the left hand menu, click Events Manager
Please ensure you are in the correct account with which you wish to advertise. Otherwise, if you attempt to start an ad under a different account (personal), Meta will not see the pixel!
3. First Time Setting Up Pixel Click (+) Connect Data
3. In the pop-up menu, Click Web
4. You may be prompted to connect a data set. You can create a new data set or select an existing dataset from your business. Click Next
5. Click Connect Manually
6. Click Meta Pixel only
7. Click Next
8. Click See Instructions
9. Click Copy Code
10. Click Finish (bottom right typically)
11. Stop here and open up your email
12. Type in Subject Line: <Your Business Name> Meta Pixel Install
13. Insert webdev@8bitcreative.com as the recipient.
14. Paste the Code (Right Click, Paste) CMD+V into the body of the email.
15. Send the email
If you lose it, you can go back through the directions click your data set and click 'Setup Meta Pixel'.
